This is a good proprietary shiraz, plying peppery spice, a whiff of mint, cardamon and clove along rails of salty freshness. Slinky and fresh without any forfeit of flavour, nor paucity of structure. The flavours are slightly herbaceous and very savoury, with a great deal of saliva-inducing mineral. The finish is well balanced, firm and reserved, and has very good length.

The toasty vanillin oak makes a statement on the nose, however the fruit that rises from the depths has power, intensity and concentration. These things suggest that in time all will come together.
