Pristine blackcurrant and bay leaf flavours come whispered with toasty, cedar wood oak. Truth is though that it tastes of Coonawarra and of cabernet sauvignon and of not much else, in the best of ways. Essence of the variety and of the region. It draws confidently through the palate and is satisfying and then some through the finish. Drink by 2036.

Dark red in colour, with a very complex nose with hints of blackberries and ripe cherries.
This complexity carries over to the palate, rich, juicy and ribena-like, with plums and fruitcake characters showing through.
As ever the finish is long and lingering with wonderful 'soft grain' tannins.

In the usual Majella manner the ferment was finished off in 300 litre French oak barrels. After MLF the wine was aged for a further 18 months in oak before bottling.
