There are a number of wines I return to every year. They've never let me down, and we remain the best of friends. Turkey Flat rosé makes that list. Salmon pink with grenache at its core, it is just wonderful drinking; redcurrants and raspberry and wildflower top notes. Just a slink of texture too, filling out the palate before bright acidity tightens, bringing all back into line for a nervy, refreshing exit. 95 points.

The Turkey Flat vineyards and winery are now situated on the historic Section One property in the centre of the Barossa. The Schulz family became owners of the Turkey Flat property in around 1865 and while they continued to tend the ancient vineyard, they also developed a thriving butchers business. Bucking the notion that Rosé is an afterthought, our 'Prince of Pink' has a special place in our hearts & is crafted with a clear purpose.
The Turkey Flat Rosé is the result of nearly thirty years of refinement in technique. Our style has become archetypal of Australian Rosé, with fresh, aromatic fruit, florals and spice on the nose, satisfying body and texture on the palate, and a clean, savoury-shift on the finish. Grenache is the star of this wine and is picked in multiple parcels across the vintage to provide the components for a wine that is a masterclass in blending.
