Halliday Winemaker of the Year 2021. Andrew Caillard MW 93 points. Medium light crimson. Fragrant and sweet red cherry, redcurrant, strawberry aromas with Campari, negroni- like complexity. Seductive red cherry stone, Campari, strawberry flavours, fine bittersweet textures, very good mid-palate richness and integrated fresh acidity. A hint of tar. Quite pinot-noir like with a whip of acidity at the finish. Drink now – 2026 12.3% alc 93 points. 67% Grenache, 33% Bushvine Mataro - Krondorf Vineyard. Organically farmed, single vineyard. Soil: Sandy loam/heavy red clay over a calcareous subsoil. Tasting notes: Ruby red fruit, red musk, rosewater, cloves, spice, rose petal. Voluminous washy palate of red spicy fruits with a savoury fresh rhubarb line. 1734 bottles produced. No Fining, No Filtration.
