Chardonnay from our south facing slopes is selected, pressed and vinified separately – before bottling for fermentation. Disgorged after 24 months on the lees, it is released for the summer – three years after the vintage. Bud burst was delayed this year due to a cold start and April was the third coldest since 1963. A first for England, Bride Valley’s Dorset Crémant is made from the harvests of the colder 2015 and 2016. At 3.7 bar, the lower fizz allows Dorset Crémant to ‘cream’ onto the palate.
