The 2015 Emma Zuccardi Bonarda is now produced exclusively with grapes from Altamira fermented with 100% full clusters in concrete vats and without the wine touching any oak at all. It matured in concrete vats until bottling. This is really surprising, with a completely different character than most Bonardas have, a lot fresher and spicier. But if the nose is different, the palate is something else, it's more about the Altamira calcium carbonate soils than the variety. This has gained in complexity and depth, with a combination of chalk and citric, almost effervescent acidity. Amazing. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2016. LG
