Tedeschi winery is hacked out of the side of a dusty mountain - 500 meters above sea level in Veneto. Its a two hour journey from Venice itself - but well worth the trouble once you get there. Greystone winery remains the one winery I have ever been able to visit where every single bottle opened was a winner.
