These packs represent a fascinating insight into the maturation capacity of the Majella Cabernet and Shiraz. We will be doing them slowly over two consecutive nights.

We will be lead through the wines by Brian (Prof) Lynn.

Night One -

Majella Coonawarra Shiraz 2006


Majella Coonawarra Shiraz 2013 (JH 94) : "Good colour; a fresh and vibrant bouquet and palate both send the same pure message of delicious red berry fruits, spice and a faint hint of licorice, the savoury tannins providing both context and the necessary structure."


Majella Coonawarra Shiraz 2014 (JH 95) : "Fermentation completed (after pressing) in hogsheads, matured for 18 months in French and American oak. Just when you think the oak may have been overplayed, the fruit comes charging through on the back-palate, finish and aftertaste. It lifts the whole feel of the wine, and is the consequence of sophisticated winemaking from vines planted as far back as '69."
