Winemaker’S Notes
The 2017 growing season had excellent Winter and Spring rainfall, this was accompanied by quite cool temperatures. A mild Summer was followed by a long and sunny autumn allowing fruit flavours to develop slowly yet fully. Fermentation undertaken in open fermenters and carefully hand plunged to gently extract the ripe tannins of the 2017 season. Selected parcels received post ferment maceration to layer the wine with complexity and mouthfeel.
