It allows a pre-view of the vintage quality to come and keeps the quality of the Single vineyard wines as high as possible. The wine always receives 12 months barrel age in a new French foudre (2250L) with predominantly older French hogsheads for the balance, allowing the vintage and terroir to show clearly. It’s also a chance for me to play with the old adage, ;The whole is greater than the sum of its part. Certainly the best value and most traditional wine style of the portfolio.
