JJ Hahn Barossa Valley Homestead Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 [JH 91]

Marananga-sourced cabernet sauvignon. 100% whole berries; 12 day ferment; matured in French oak (15% new) for 16 months. Bright crimson with a rush of blackberry and blackcurrant pastille with hints of dried herbs, dark spice, licorice, cedar, crushed leaf, cherry paste and earth. There's a medium-bodied fruit flow, compact, silty tannins and plenty of vitality and verve on the back end. 91 points.
