Masottina Prosecco Via Venti Treviso Extra Brut
Massena Field Blend White 2017 [WF 93]
Winefront 93 points. Reflecting the mixed planting of old vines, a complex and intriguing aromatic mix of atypical muscat aromas with white peach and nectarine, honeydew, lemon sorbet and grapefruit pith. A firm palate of ruby grapefruit astringency combined with nervy acidity, homemade lemonade sweet and sour balance give a truly eclectic, unconventional white wine.

Mount Edward Chardonnay 2022 Organic
WINERY NOTE: Chardonnay is a variety that allows you more freedom to make wines in a style that you like more than any other. Ours you will get a more delicate subtle version, moreish and complex. Grapes from our Morrison Vineyard were whole bunch pressed directly to barrel, fermented naturally using the vineyard yeasts, all in older French oak. A wine with delicate fruit flavours, some savoury complexity, nuttiness & vanilla, with a soft palate of pith like mineral texture, all underpinned by fine acidity. Matured for just under a year on lees prior to hand bottling without filtration. Certified organic, Morrison vineyard, Pisa.
Mount Edward Estate Gruner Veltiner 2018 Organic

Floral, white pepper, and pip-fruit aromas on the nose , similar fruit flavours including spice and pears come through on the palate, all underpinned by mineral characters and refreshing acidity. We aim to produce wines of purity, precision and balance with a clear resonance of flavour. The wine is drinking extremely well now but can be cellared with confidence for two to four years. Mount Pleasant Estate Fiano 2022 [JH 93]
Hand picked, racked to used oak for natural 10-day fermentation, the barrels topped and stirred for eight months. I'm convinced fiano has an exceptional future in many parts of Australia, what with its inbuilt texture, structure and savoury citrus flavours. This is a fine example of the variety. 93 points. James Halliday Published 02 August 2023. Region: Hunter Valley, NSW Winemaker: Adrian Sparks Growing Conditions A beautiful growing season, with dry weather during winter followed by gentle spring rains rejuvenating the vineyards. Healthy vines with a perfect balance between canopy and crop and an abundance of water made...
Mount Pleasant Estate Semillon 2022 [JH 95]
Sourced exclusively from the Lovedale vineyard, Elizabeth has been quintessential Hunter Valley Semillon since the early days. No frills in the vinification: cool fermented for 14 days in stainless-steel tanks with cultivated yeast. Spent two months on lees before clarification and bottling. The fruit profile is the expected lime/lemon flavours, not so much the slinky acidity which makes it very much a now or later proposition – an outright bargain. 95 points. James Halliday Published 14 February 2023. This wine was formerly bottled under the "Elizabeth" label. That is now used for cellar aged...
O'Leary Walker Watervale Riesling 2021 [JP 96]
Jeni Port 96 points. A natural cool beauty, Watervale combines stunning aromatics – apple blossom, white flowers – with lingering aromas of Tahitian lime, lemon, grapefruit. Citrus and talc florals work hand in hand here. Soft, textural acidity offers a solid foundation for the brisk lemony brightness and lime cordial intensity of the fruit. And it lasts and lasts on a long, clean finish. Guess you might say I fell hard for this young riesling. A classic riesling vintage in the Clare Valley is a thing to behold. Excellent drinking now, it will be a pleasure to follow its journey. Date Tasted: October 2021; Drink: 2021 to...
Pelissero Langhe Bianco Favorita 2022
CHARACTERISTICS: Favorita is one of the few typical white grapes from Piemonte. It is very similar to the Vermentino grape. Once Favorita was considered a table grape. Then, in the ‘80s some wineries started to make wine from it, with good results. Wine drinkable when young but also with a good structure, as the vines grow in a solid soil suitable for great Nebbiolo for Barbaresco: complexity and persistency are granted. TECHNICAL NOTES: Our philosophy is to limit the cellar winemaking operations in order to preserve as much as possible the grape fruits. The fruit cluster is crushed, pressed, left one night decanting at cold...
Pelissero Sparkling Moscato d'Asti 2020 DOCG
WINERY NOTE: Aromatic wine of the most renowned, beautiful yellow-green colour, with characteristic gold reflections with a persistent frame of little bubbles. Pelissero Moscato d'Asti 2020 DOCG typical of our soils. To the taste it is a complex balance of sweetness from the fully ripened grapes, contrasted with fresh acidity to keep the finish clean and sharp. Intense and refreshing.
Rob Dolan White Label Pinot Gris 2020
WINERY NOTE: What started as a mishap has become our signature style. Years ago, our Pinot Gris spent some unplanned time on skins, resulting in a beautiful colour, and a richer texture. We still follow this technique (with a little more precision!) today, making our iconic blush Pinot Gris. A sure favourite, this wine suits all palates and is great with or without food. WINE NOTES Colour: pale salmon tinge naturally derived from Pinot Gris skins Aroma: red and yellow apple, nashi pear, orange blossom Palate: lemon and orange citrus, red apple, white florals

Roland Maison Lavantureux Petite Chablis 2022

Nick Stock for JamesSuckling.com, October 2020 [2019 Vintage] “Fresh-faced stye with just enough texture, complexity and length to keep most folks happy. Pear, stone fruit, powdered milk and ginger-spice notes get the job done. 91 Points.” Halliday Wine Companion, August 2020 [2019 Vintage] “Straw in colour but it’s a fresh-faced style with clear varietal character. White peach, pear and apple flavour comes with oak spice top notes. It’s not overly intense but there’s enough here to satisfy. 90 Points.” Campbell Mattinson, The Winefront, July 2020 [2019 Vintage] “If you are yet to introduce...

The Foundry Grenache Blanc 2021
VITICULTURE These grapes are sourced from our neighbour’s vineyard at The Foundry’s home farm in Voor Paardeberg, and managed by Chris Williams. Grown on Malmesbury shale and decomposed granite, these trellised vines allow us to precisely manage the canopy to enhance fruit, complexity and balance. VINIFICATION Hand harvested and cooled overnight, this was whole-bunch pressed to restrain phenolics, yet was fermented with a high percentage of solids to give breadth and definition to the palate. 55% was fermented in seasoned tight-grain French oak Allier and CompieĚ€gne hogsheads and 45% of the wine in 500 and 1000...
The Foundry Viognier 2022
VITICULTURE The Viognier is grown on a single vineyard, South Westerly slope about 6 km from False Bay which enjoys cool maritime on shore breezes from the Atlantic. The soils are granite-clay loams which restrict yield and allow for retention of acidity and varietal aroma. VINIFICATION The cooled grapes were crushed and pressed and the free run Viognier juice settled overnight before being run into second-fill French Allier oak white wine barrels. Half the barrels were inoculated while the other half underwent “wild”, un-inoculated fermentation. About half the wine underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was...

Villa Sandi Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut Millesimato 2023
Excellent bone dry prosecco that ticks all the boxes. Pure fruit, excellent persistent bead, crisp acidity and clean, dry finish. DOCG quality through and through. Conegliano lies in the Valdobiaddene region of Veneto from which the very best of prosecco is sourced.. In terms of prestige in the hierarchy of prosecco it sits 2 rungs below the subregion of Cartizze (see Villa Sandi for our version). There are many other cheaper versions available in the market but for the few dollars more that the good stuff demands in price, there really is no point in skimping.
