Variety: 85% Glera – 15% Chardonnay Residual sugar: 3 g/l Alcohol: 11% Sizes: 0.75 L/ 1.5 L/3 L This wine comes from a single vineyard at Gorgo al Monticano, on the historic estate of the Dal Bianco family, where business began in 1946. A dry wine with a clear, lingering finish whose amazing elegance reveals an intriguing structure. It is made of grapes selected on the vine and in the winery, white vinified by the gravity method.

Winefront 93 points. Reflecting the mixed planting of old vines, a complex and intriguing aromatic mix of atypical muscat aromas with white peach and nectarine, honeydew, lemon sorbet and grapefruit pith. A firm palate of ruby grapefruit astringency combined with nervy acidity, homemade lemonade sweet and sour balance give a truly eclectic, unconventional white wine.

A light to medium bodied wine with spicy nashi pear and crisp gala apple flavours. The palate is aromatic, crisp and long with a lingering spiciness and clean refreshing finish.

WINERY NOTE: Chardonnay is a variety that allows you more freedom to make wines in a style that you like more than any other. Ours you will get a more delicate subtle version, moreish and complex. Grapes from our Morrison Vineyard were whole bunch pressed directly to barrel, fermented naturally using the vineyard yeasts, all in older French oak. A wine with delicate fruit flavours, some savoury complexity, nuttiness & vanilla, with a soft palate of pith like mineral texture, all underpinned by fine acidity. Matured for just under a year on lees prior to hand bottling without filtration. Certified organic, Morrison vineyard, Pisa.

Notes from Duncan: The ultimate in food friendly wines, Gruner goes with just about anything and anyone. A fruit driven style of Gruner Veltliner with a lithe texture, medium weight in a dry style. Floral, white pepper, and pip-fruit aromas on the nose , similar fruit flavours including spice and pears come through on the palate, all underpinned by mineral characters and refreshing acidity. Hand picked, racked to used oak for natural 10-day fermentation, the barrels topped and stirred for eight months. I'm convinced fiano has an exceptional future in many parts of Australia, what with its inbuilt texture, structure and savoury citrus flavours. This is a fine example of the variety. 93 points. Sourced exclusively from the Lovedale vineyard, Elizabeth has been quintessential Hunter Valley Semillon since the early days.  No frills in the vinification: cool fermented for 14 days in stainless-steel tanks with cultivated yeast. Spent two months on lees before clarification and bottling. The fruit profile is the expected lime/lemon flavours, not so much the slinky acidity which makes it very much a now or later proposition – an outright bargain. 95 points. CHARACTERISTICS: Favorita  is one of the few typical white grapes from Piemonte. It is very similar to the Vermentino grape. Once Favorita was considered a table grape. Then, in the ‘80s some wineries started to make wine from it, with good results. WINERY NOTE: Aromatic wine of the most renowned, beautiful yellow-green colour, with characteristic gold reflections with a persistent frame of little bubbles. Pelissero Moscato d'Asti 2020 DOCG typical of our soils. WINERY NOTE: What started as a mishap has become our signature style. Years ago, our Pinot Gris spent some unplanned time on skins, resulting in a beautiful colour, and a richer texture. The Rustenberg Stellenbosch Chardonnay is traditionally barrel-fermented, and with juicy, peachy fruit and a combination of factors from the vineyard adding complexity, wild yeast and careful barrel age, it offers balance, expression and value in every vintage. Tasmania just keeps on punching out excellent and curiously different wines. Here is another. COLOUR Cloudy. A vibrant lemon colour with a hint of tropical gold. AROMA This is an exuberant, cloudy and lightly sparkling wine with aromas that leap out of the glass to delight the senses. Think bright passionfruit, rich lime peel and pea shoots alongside elegant nashi pear. PALATE The first sip of this wine brings concentrated passionfruit pulp and a moreish hit of ginger spice and kaffir lime. VITICULTURE These grapes are sourced from our neighbour’s vineyard at The Foundry’s home farm in Voor Paardeberg, and managed by Chris Williams. Grown on Malmesbury shale and decomposed granite, these trellised vines allow us to precisely manage the canopy to enhance fruit, complexity and balance. VITICULTURE The Viognier is grown on a single vineyard, South Westerly slope about 6 km from False Bay which enjoys cool maritime on shore breezes from the Atlantic. The soils are granite-clay loams which restrict yield and allow for retention of acidity and varietal aroma. A Rhône-inspired white blend of marsanne and roussanne from the Turkey Flat vineyards in Bethany and Stone Well; whole-bunch pressed with some skin contact and a portion aged in new oak. Pale straw with some intriguing struck flint and cordite notes layered above the juicy white peach, lemon and apple fruit base. Hints of nougat, toasted almonds, crème fraîche, white flowers and ginger complete the picture. Dry with a lovely textural component, a minerally acid line and excellent clarity on the finish. Conegliano lies in the Valdobiaddene region of Veneto from which the very best of prosecco is sourced.. In terms of prestige in the hierarchy of prosecco it sits 2 rungs below the subregion of Cartizze (see Villa Sandi for our version).There are many other cheaper versions available in the market but for the few dollars more that the good stuff demands in price, there really is no point in skimping.
