"The best iteration of Mencía in the country. Think cool-climate syrah in a more savoury, mellifluous guise, smattered with dried thyme, fennel and peppery tannins, a twine of attractive astringency. A sphere of blue-fruited succulence expands across a fullish girth with energy, drive, length and immense joy. THE VINEYARD

Sourced from approximately 10-year-old vines at Oliver’s Taranga Vineyard Seaview, McLaren Vale.
WINEMAKING

Picked early. Fermented cool. Some whole bunch carbonic maceration. 8 days on skins prior to pressing to seasoned French Barriques for short 6 week maturation prior to blending and bottling. 100% Mencía.
