An amazingly fragrant nose of clove, cardamom and cinnamon lift from the glass which then further opens to more red notes of rosehip and grilled strawberry. More savoury notes of cranberry, lamb jus and orange peel spread through the palate. Full and smooth, the palate is velvety, balanced and buoyed by a fresh acidity that gives concentration and length. This is a satisfying and welcoming wine, open and playful now but with our usual thread of tannin and acid that makes these wines remarkable with age. - Winery   Sam Kim - The Real Review - 98 [Stephen Wong MW] (The Real Review):  96/100 ("Beautifully detailed, dark red...

98 pts   Huon Hooke(The Real Review)   Deep and bright, youthful colour with lots of purple in the rim and great limpidity. The first aroma is of root vegetables, potato and parsnip, gradually giving way to rich ripe dark cherry that floods the palate with succulent sweet fruit flavour and beautifully balanced fine-grained tannins. The tannins provide a backbone and a counter-balance to all that opulent fruit. A totally impressive and convincing pinot noir. It has wow factor.  Drinking window  2024 – 2041. "With every year that passes, the Tout Pres vineyard’s subtleness and delicate fruit structure are becoming increasingly pronounced in the wine. The bouquet fills the glass with spicy fruit, mineral elements and a hint of integrated French oak, with the darkness and essence of the Moorabool Valley true expressions of site. This wine exhibits primary and secondary flavours, which strengthen the overall integration for a seamless finish. It is a tightly packed combination of plums and undergrowth with an edgy acidity—and one of our favourite drops." -  Wine by Farr.

Vinous Media 95 points. “The 2022 Pinot Noir Las Pizarras, fermented with whole clusters, was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (25% new). Cherry-red in hue, it exudes aromas of herbs, sour cherry and pink peppercorn, underscored by hints of rose and sweet bread. Dry, compact and refreshing, it glides gracefully across the palate with delicate vibrancy. This is a rare Pinot Noir that encapsulates the coastal character in its entirety. In the impressive Errazuriz Vineyard, planted in Quillota with views of the Pacific Ocean, a collection of massal and clonal Pinot Noir plots thrive in shallow slate...

James Suckling 96 points. Redefines Santenay elegance! What a beautiful nose of dried citrus peel, summer flowers and red berries! This is an extraordinarily sophisticated and refined wine for the appellation, with super-fine tannins and uplifting freshness for the very warm year. Super- long and silky finish! Drink or hold. In old French "La Maladière" means establishment of assistance to the sick. These establishments received donations. This climat name in Santenay refers to one of them which belonged to the Maladière de Chagny, a few kilometers away. Years of planting 1963 (0.52 ha), 2005 (0.51 ha) and 1990...

James Suckling 98 points.  "Welcome to the dark side of the 2022 vintage in Burgundy. It has all the spicy and savory complexity, plus the giant structure we expect from a grand cru. But this only comes from Santenay, where there are 1er crus, but even they don’t get taken seriously. And everything is swathed in a blanket of velvet that you just want to sink into. Then comes the giant finish that almost knocks you off your chair in the nicest possible way. Drink from release." -  James Suckling.   Santenay produces mainly red wine from the Pinot Noir grape. Colour is a dark but brilliant...
