I have long loved Ministry of Crab in Colombo that has always been the benchmark for me - especially for their mudcrab. Opened in Sri Lanka in 2011, I was very excited to hear about their opening in 2024. The big quesiton in my mind was "Can they transport their wininng formula to us in Singapore. My this I mean the exacting standards of sourcing and freshness.
In ensuring freshness, all crabs are air-flown from Sri Lanka live three times a week, wild caught in small batches, sustainably obtained via the extensive network of fisherfolk who catch crabs around the island.
They have created a slam dunk of a success here in Dempsey Hill - with a total of 7 countries now flying the Mimistry of Crab banner including Bangkok, Shanghai, Chengdu & Maldives...
We will be in their privtae room for a maximum of 12 pax.

Large Mudcrab (Shared with two) - Served in a variety of styles such as Black Pepper, dashoi, Garlic Chilli MOC Original recipe or sri Lankan Curry Crab. The idea will be to share with the people sitting around you.
