Wine Spectator 90 points."...Roasted herb and saline notes add some complexity to the lush pear, peach and citrus flavors. Shows terrific intensity on the finish, where a hint of matcha green tea comes in.”

Winery Note:

Aroma: Berry aromas with subtle spice and well-integrated oak. Palate: Fruit-driven; bright red berry flavors. Smooth, fine-grain tannins and excellent structure and balance. This vintage is fragrant and very typical of Marlborough. Following traditional plunging of the skins during fermentation for flavor and tannin, the wine was aged in a combination of new and older French oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling. The oak was selected to add a mix of spicy characters (cinnamon, pepper, and more) to the aroma and complexity and weight to the palate, without being dominant. The wine is made in a food-friendly Old World–style.

Among 1600 wines entered in the most recent San Francisco International Wine
Competition, Ten Sisters was ranked above other notable pinot noirs such as:
Francis Ford Coppola, Josh Cellars, Ménage à Trois, San Simeon, Bouchard
Aîné & Fils, Elizabeth Spencer, Roshambo, and J Vineyards.*
Wine Spectator has called Ten Sisters “a brand to watch.” Ten Sisters is at some of
the finest restaurants, hotels, and venues in the U.S. — for example, one of the hottest
restaurants in Miami, Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat.
