“This is an epic wine with about as perfect a nose as can be imagined outside of Chambolle.” Matthew Jukes. In Halliday's Top Ten for Ten Years in a Row... Classic Gary Farr in every way. Every aspect of the wine is comforting and nostalgic. It is looking great already and will get even better over the next 12 months and beyond. James Halliday 96 Halliday Top Ten for Ten Years in a Row,,,, Nick and Gary Farr stand side by side, but aren’t afraid to go head-to-head when their opinions differ. Each generation has developed a distinctive winemaking style based on his individual experience and taste, and their respective lines—By Farr by...
Hands down the leader of the pack. Crackling and nervy. A dramatically constructed wine that is supremely good. It was hard to think of a better rendition from these guys. A new benchmark for Giant Steps. Supplies will be gone by Xmas. Top Gold + Trophy, National Wine Show 96 points, James Halliday 95 points, James Suckling Love the aromas of tea, strawberries, cherries and freshly cut flowers, which follow through to a medium to full body. Tight and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Shows focus and finesse with structure. Drink now or hold. JS.
These vines have quietly come of age and will not look back. Savory and glossy. If this came out of Central Otago it would cost $80+. The clever buy of the day from a value perspective. 96 points - Bob Campbell MW. Fragrant, aromatic pinot noir with seductive floral, cherry and subtle spicy flavours. Delicately succulent wine that has clearly been made with a light touch but has impressive power and a lengthy finish. This wine has the X-factor - every sip is even better than the last. 96 points - James Suckling. Impressive structure and concentration. Terrific complexity in the mix here, too. Blueberries and mixed cherries on the nose and...
Amazing quality fruit for this price point. It beats the pack under $50 for this vintage with style and grace. I suspect a bumper harvest meant that its bomb-diggity sibling at twice the price saw a bit of declassification of extrodinarilly good fruit... Decanter Magazine "Crimson is supposedly the wine to introduce you to its bigger Ata Rangi estate Pinot. But perversely, you need all of the Pinot knowledge in the world to understand just how special Crimson is." Julia Harding ~ Master of Wine "....This seems very Martinborough to me - refined and savoury character to the dark-red fruits.....Young vines, shorter vatting time and less oak....
A crowd favorite for the sippers. Pure, feminine and poised. The clarity of purpose and flavor is a trademark of this wine and this vintage is no exception. Bob Campbell MW 94 points. Aromatic pinot noir with floral, violet, dark cherry, plum and spice flavours. A silken-textured wine that is so appealing and accessible now that it's hard to imagine it getting much better with bottle age Drink by: 2018 - 2022. BC.

Score: 95 Bob Campbell MW, bobcampbell.nz, November 2016 Beautifully aromatic with floral cherry fruit and real finesse, as well as sweet raspberry jam notes. Supple and pretty with sweet fruit to the fore. Fresh cherries and raspberries. Very pure. Score: 94 Jamie Goode, Wineanorak.com, February 2017 The 2015 Pinot Noir comes from a year that saw reduced crop yields and a dry summer. The result is a concentrated, tannic, age-worthy wine that was aged in 20%-25% new French oak hogsheads. It's medium to full-bodied and velvety in texture, with black cherry notes that come dangerously close to being chocolaty, but it retains a sense of...
Purchase 6 or more and pay 55sgd per bottle. Bob Campbell MW 95 points: Delicately scented pinot noir with floral, red rose, dark cherry, plum, spice and thyme flavours. Supple and appealing wine with an ethereal texture. It’s deliciously drinkable now but should age gracefully. A classy pinot noir. (Screwcap). Gourmet Traveller WINE Magazine Top 100, October 2018 95 POINTS: From an organically-farmed, three hectare vineyard in a Bannockburn site that’s cooler than most in that subregion. Delicately scented with red rose, dark cherry, plum and thyme flavours. Supple and appealing wine with an ethereal texture. "Exquisitely composed and...
