Delamere Vineyards Blanc de Blanc Vintage 2017 [JH 96]

100% free-run chardonnay from F-block. A minimum of five years tirage for this wine with a first disgorging in December 2023, dosage 4g/L. Pale straw with a fine, energetic bead and aromas of apple, citrus fruits, fresh brioche, sea spray, ozone, baked spiced apples and stone. Fresh shortbread tones on the palate with a crystalline acid focus, abundant energy and biscuity overtones as the wine finishes dry and stony pure, willing me to pour another glass. Wonderful drinking. 96 points.
