The Greeks called it holly agria (wild plant). The Romans transformed it into agrifolium or aquifolium. This plot is said to have taken its name from the fact that it was covered in thorny vegetation before planting.

Next to the famous Clos des Mouches, mid-slope, our Aigrot vines face east.

This vineyard, with its stony soil rich in silt and clay, is one of our two plots where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grow side by side.

The reds (0.75 ha) are bursting with fruit, full-bodied and generous, perfect for enjoying with grilled or sauced red meats.
