Les Heritiers Saint-Genys Mercurey 1er Cru Clos Marcilly Cuvee Clovis 2018 exemplifies the pinnacle of Burgundy winemaking. Sourced from the esteemed Clos Marcilly vineyard in Mercurey, this cuvée is crafted from meticulously selected Pinot Noir grapes. Hand-harvested to preserve their purity, the grapes undergo gentle destemming and are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, ensuring the vibrant fruit characteristics remain intact. After fermentation, the wine is aged for twelve months in French oak barrels, imparting subtle complexity and a refined structure. The 2018 vintage reveals a deep ruby hue, offering enticing aromas of ripe red berries, cherry, and delicate spice nuances. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious balance of lush fruit, silky tannins, and a persistent, elegant finish. Produced by Les Heritiers Saint-Genys, a revered name in fine wine circles, this wine captures the true essence of its terroir, making it a distinguished addition to any connoisseur’s collection.
