Western Barossa shiraz from the Greenock subregion; matured in new and seasoned French and American oak. Deep crimson with purple flashes in the glass. Jam-packed with juicy blood plum and macerated summer berry fruits with hints of licorice, dark chocolate, fruitcake spices, earth, purple florals, iodine and vanillin oak. There's plenty of depth to the fruit, pure and true to its Greenock roots, the tannins are fine and sandy and the finish is awash with spicy, plummy vitality. Super value. 93 points. Keermont Single Vineyard Steepside Syrah 2018 [TA 96]
Tim Atkin MW 96 points. “Deep, royal red in colour the Steepside Syrah has a brooding dusty red fruit character on the nose with hints of white pepper, cloves and fynbos. The palate is soft and full with a gentle chalky tannin structure. Ripe spicy fruit flavours are complimented by notes of herbs and pepper. The delicate flavours and tannin linger into a succulent dry finish. Drink 2020-2028.” – winemaker’s tasting notes. (2 840 bottles produced) Planted in 2005 on the steep midslopes of the Helderberg Mountain range, the Steepside Syrah vineyard sits at an elevation of 300m. Vines grow in red clay loam soils...

The views from the top of this vineyard West to Table Mountain are simply breathtaking. “Dark plummy red in colour, the Topside Syrah 2018 is shy at first, but opens into a beautiful bouquet of...
