We designed Blackwater No. 5 from top to bottom using only the botanicals imported into Ireland by White’s of Waterford during the 19th century. A gin made solely with botanicals that have been sent to space? Yeah, go on then! Juniper, coriander, cubeb pepper, fresh lemon peel, chamomile flowers, cardamom, dried bitter orange peel, cinnamon, liquorice root and angelica were all sent into the stratosphere at an altitude of at least 20km where they were exposed to extremely low pressures (after 18 or 19km the pressure is already so low that water and fluids in the body boil at body temperature!). Gold Medal, Inside Spirits Magazine, 2017. Stay bold, stay gold with this unique Gold 999.9 Gin. The story of this Gold 999.9 Gin starts in the beginning of the 20th century, when a golden distillation boiler is excavated in the Alsace region. When this boiler is offered for sale, it is bought by an amateur distiller. This man spent years of his life searching for the perfect liquor, the perfect distillation, an elixir just as valuable as the golden kettle he had just bought. Eventually he made a unique gin and christened it Gold 999.9. Thus this unique gin was born, which to this day still is distilled in a golden still according to the...

The raspberry ghost is more fruity than spooky: it is a mix of raspberry juice and wheat spirit that is then distilled.

Distillery Notes: Made and owned by Il Conventino Ginepraio is an Organic London Dry Gin with a Tuscan accent. It is created using a copper discontinuous alembic still, affectionately nicknamed Lapo. When choosing the name we were inspired by the old saying “cacciarsi in un ginepraio” – to get stuck in a mess – (the dictionary definition is also printed on the label), an informal way to describe a sticky situation from which it is difficult to get out. The same situation in which we found ourselves during the selection of the raw ingredients, all strictly certified, Tuscan, and organic. Starting from the alcohol base that comes from...
