The Cantina Kaltern 2016 Alto Adige Moscato Giallo Passito Quintessenz (packaged in a 375-milliliter bottle, with just 5,000 bottles made) shows a brilliant golden color with glossy amber and copper highlights. This beautifully fragrant dessert wine reveals honey, yellow rose, tropical fruit, candied almond and acacia flower. The wine is viscous and syrupy rich, with ample sweetness and glycerin. However, that balanced acidity ensures that these results never feel heavy or overdone. The alcohol content is well contained at 10.5%. The wine balances out nicely over the palate.
