Col d'Orcia Rosso di Montalcino 2022 Organic
When the Cinzano family arrived in 1973, most of the wine bottled in Montalcino was Brunello. A second denomination, “Vino Rosso dai Vigneti di Brunello,” was used locally to improve the image of the wine sold mostly in bulk formats. Count Alberto Marone Cinzano decided that it was just the right wine for drinking every day. He used to say: “it’s the young Sangiovese I drink at lunchtime.” In 1976, three years later, Col d’Orcia already represented more than half the production of “Rosso” in Montalcino. Thanks to Col d’Orcia’s efforts in 1983, Rosso di Montalcino became a D.O.C....
Dalwhinnie "Mesa" Shiraz 2019 [HH 94]
HUON HOOKE, THE REAL REVIEW 2022, 94 points. Very deep, bright red/purple colour. Spicy, peppery, fresh earth and red fruit aromas of some complexity, especially considering its youth. The wine is medium to full-bodied and soft-textured, with no shortage of tannin, but the texture is supple and drying, the fine-grained powery tannins augmenting the savoury flavours. There is abundant fruit within but the overall style is savoury, food friendly and very stylish. Very long aftertaste. Great value. HH. COLOUR Deep dark purple. AROMA Intense aromas of fresh black and red berries with delicate touches of cinnamon and nutmeg spice. PALATE Mesa...

The fruit for DMZ Sauvignon Blanc is selected from premium trellised vineyards located on cool slopes of the Bottelary Hills in the Stellenboschkloof. Weathered granite soils and cooling ocean breezes create ideal ripening conditions for Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes were gently de-stemmed and lightly pressed, and the juice was treated carefully with...

Delaire Graff Cape Vintage Port 2022 [TA 94]
Tim Atkin MW 94 points. Marrying an elegantly floral bouquet to the sultry flavours of cherries, dark chocolateck and a magnanimous seasoning of sweet spice, the Delaire Graff Cape Vintage is robust yet beautifully weighted. The conventional definition of masculine and feminine is blurred as a backbone of sturdy, but unobtrusive tannins offer a brawny characteristic to a wine otherwise tempered by restraint. Matured in 20-year Congac old barrels.
Devil's Staircase Central Otago Pinot Noir 2025
Made by the team at Rockburn. Winery Note: Our Devil’s Staircase wines are inspired by the winding road leading from Queenstown to Kingston along the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Sourced from several Central Otago vineyards, the Devil’s Staircase Pinot Noir takes the willing down into the realm of decadence and Bacchanalian delights. Here, everything is pleasure spiced up with a bit of naughty. The unrelenting Central Otago environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce a wine worthy of absolution; strong and sensual with lashings of dark fruit, sinfully succulent and devilishly good. The flavours are practically immoral,...

Feudi del Pisciotto Ferretti Chardonnay 2022 [JS 91]
James Suckling 91 points. Sicily can be appreciated not only for its red wines, but also for the whites and international varieties offered. Chardonnay is perhaps the one that has the best adaptability among all non-native white grape varieties. In this wine, the varietal notes are brought into the spotlight and the good acidity characteristic of this grape gives it a freshness that also makes it ideal for ageing.
Fontanafredda Derthona Timorasso 2021
An ancient grape variety, historically indigenous to the Tortonese hills, Timorasso, now brought back to life by taking the name Derthona. Timorasso is one of those wines that could be described as a “red dressed as white”, an overabused expression used to describe white wines with a particular and abundant structure. The area where the vine is cultivated in Piemonte borders Lombardy, Emilia and Liguria: the Colli Tortonesi . Timorasso, which was on the verge of disappearing in the late 1980s, was rediscovered in the early 1990s by Walter Massa. And so the district started working again with this powerful yet elegant...

Medium-full bodied, herbaceous aromas of thyme and pine lead the palate with black pepper and cardamon, unfolding cherries, blackberries and rich floral fragrance. Forager Wild Vineyard Ferment Pinot Noir 2022 [BC 95] Organic
Bob Campbell MW 95 points. "Forager is the love-child of Dom Maxwell, founding winemaker of Greystone in Waipara. 2022 is the tenth release of Forager Pinot Noir. The wine was made from grapes grown in Amuri limestone in Waiau, a sub-region of North Cantebury that is a 40-minute drive north of Waipara. The vineyard, Isolated Hill, is owned by the Black family. A major point of difference between Forager’s vineyard practices and those of others in their region is allowing the fermentation to take place among the vines that produced their wine. 95/100 Halliday's Australian Wine Companion, James Halliday "Plush. Thick. A salubrious sheen of impeccably poised oak and sensitively extracted grape tannins meld with just enough freshness. Generosity, the calling card. The fruit and arsenal of herb- to spice-inflected flavours sing above the structural frame: black cherry, damson plum, licorice, Asian spice, hoisin and baby back ribs. Giuliano Premium Black Truffle Salsa 35% (Italy) 100g
We have scoured the Italian landscape looking for the best truffle paste we could find. (Nothing is as good as fresh but unfortunately they are seasonal and often unattainable.) Most pestos have a black truffle content of 5% or less, and the list of artificial ingrdients added can be quite confronting. Don't look too closely at the ingredients list on the jars in your local supermarket, you might feel ill. We finally settled on this fine product from the Giuliano family in Umbria. It is head and shoulders above competing products we. have seen in Singapore. No comparison really nothing else even comes close. No artificial ingredients....
Greenock Estate Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 [KG 94]
Cellar door price 65 aud. 94pts Ken Gargett, " From a single vineyard in the Barossa, with 70-year-old vines, the wine spent 22 months maturing in French oak. The colour is an inky magenta. There is slightly more austerity here than in many Barossa offerings, as one would expect. Notes of blackberries, cigar box, aniseed, leather, coffee grinds, dry herbs and figs with a fine line of acidity. The palate is rich and long with firm and ever-so-slightly grainy tannins while more chocolate notes emerge on the palate. Terrific drinking for the next 12 to 20 years. #GREN

Greystone Sauvignon Blanc 2023 Barrel Ferment Organic [SK 95]
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, 5 stars. 100% barrel fermentation. Certified Organic. Truly unique style of Sauvignon Blanc for New Zealand ! In our vineyard we grow two rare clones of Sauvignon Blanc ( 376 and 530 ), originally taken from the Loire Valley. This is very different from the rest of New Zealand, which generally uses a singular Bordeaux clone. Our vines produce much smaller bunches with golden coloured grapes - the Bordeaux tends to a heavier bunch size and more green tinged. These grapes give us beautiful fruit flavours of golden kiwifruit, mango, ripe pineapple and guava. 2022 vintage comment....."Fragrantly aromatic...
