"Forager is the love-child of Dom Maxwell, founding winemaker of Greystone in Waipara. 2022 is the tenth release of Forager Pinot Noir. The wine was made from grapes grown in Amuri limestone in Waiau, a sub-region of North Cantebury that is a 40-minute drive north of Waipara. The vineyard, Isolated Hill, is owned by the Black family.

A major point of difference between Forager’s vineyard practices and those of others in their region is allowing the fermentation to take place among the vines that produced their wine.
