Bindi Dhillon Glenhope Riesling 2023

SG$50.00
SG$50.00

This new project from the granite soils in the northern end of the Macedon Ranges at 460m above sea level is an exciting addition to our activities. The vineyard was established in 1995 and the fruit has ostensibly been “lost” interstate until new Victorian owners took over in spring 2021. The new regime has quickly invested in the infrastructure and fine-tuned activities and several top producers are sourcing fruit from this excellent site. The Riesling was harvested in mid April and wild yeast fermented in old French oak then matured for six months on fine yeast lees. In the winemaking mind it was important to preserve/respect...

Grosset Alea Riesling 2023 [WA 95]

SG$50.00
SG$50.00

Wine Advocate 95 points. The 2023 Alea Riesling leads with roasted pineapple, green apples, hints of lychee and juniper, lemon oil and coriander. The fruit is a little quieter this year, but it's no less "present." It is a beautiful wine, fleshy and soft, but it still remains tethered to the tracks of very fine, very firm acidity. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink 2023-2037. Tyson Stelzer - WBM, OCT23 94 Points I love the way a touch of residual heightens not only the supple texture of the palate but also the white lily floral lift and fragrant purity of Clare Valley Riesling. The acidity of the cool 2023 season...

Grosset Polish Hill Riesling 2023 [WA 97]

SG$72.00
SG$72.00

Wine Advocate 97 points. The 2023 Polish Hill Riesling is utterly superb. It has the flesh and body that only the Clare can deliver; it is shaped by coiled acidity, and it ripples through the finish with unfettered fruit power. It's a glorious thing, this wine. It's looking precise, focused and floral through the lens of the 2023 season. 12.9% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink 2023-2043.     Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front, AUG23 96 Points Grosset’s Polish Hill is renowned for its reserve, particularly on release, but this rendition has both its quality and its fruit intensity sitting front and centre. This...

Grosset Springvale Riesling 2022 [JH 95]

SG$56.00
SG$56.00

James Halliday Wine Companion, 95/100 Certified organic and biodynamic. A high-tension, fragrant Springvale release. Bright, floral perfume of lime blossom, ozone, blackcurrant and green apple. A strong spectrum of citrus flavours are the currency here: lemon, lime and a squirt of pulpy grapefruit zing with a faintly yeasty, almond-like character to finish. Quiet complexity and vitality are writ large here. Excellent. 95 points. Mike Bennie Published 13 September 2022. Wine Advocate 95+. Coiled. That's what this 2022 Springvale Riesling is. It's like a compressed spring, waiting for release. The fruit is from the Springvale vineyard...

Grosset Springvale Riesling 2023 [CM 96]

SG$56.00
SG$56.00

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front, AUG23 96 Points Well, seriously, the 2023 Grosset rieslings are wonderful. This has you at hello. It’s structured and a touch reserved but there’s decent flavour both at the outset and throughout and then the finish, well, it saves its best for last. This wine really does seal the deal. Chalk, lime, fennel, a grainy/skinsy aspect to the finish but this is a wine of great fruit purity, finesse and finish. It’s delicious. It impresses with its structure. And it has that extra flourish. Mike Bennie - Halliday Wine Companion, SEP23 96 Points A flavoursome release of this stalwart Clare...

Kilikanoon Killermans Run Riesling 2022 [WA 91]

SG$33.00
SG$33.00

Wine Advocate 91 points. 2022 was an excellent follow on from the excellent 2021 vintage. This 2022 Killerman's Run Riesling is spritely, inchoate and so tightly coiled at this point that the acidity and the phenolics are seamlessly intertwined. Really great value here—pristine Riesling. EL Aug 2023.

Killikanoon Clare Valley Mort's Block Riesling 2019 [JH 92]

SG$35.00
SG$35.00

James Halliday Wine Companion 92 points. A regional stalwart, always offering good value. Quince, pink grapefruit, spa salts and lemon zest, careening along a structural meld of talcy chew and bright acidity. Relaxed in the regional context. Nothing too shrill. Ned Goodwin MW Published 01 August 2020. WINERY NOTES: Hand selected parcels were chosen from across our famed Golden Hillside vineyards, including the original Mort’s Block Vineyard that started it all. 100% Watervale fruit, only minutes from the Kilikanoon winery. Pale straw in appearance with brilliant clarity and youthful green tints. Lifted Riesling profile; lemon curd,...

Max & Me Woodcarvers Mirooloo Eden Riesling 2021 [JH 93]

SG$44.00
SG$44.00

High-toned blossom/flower scents fill the bouquet. The palate is juicy with Rose's lime juice and crisp, clear acidity to give balance now and join forces with the fruit as the wine gains texture and complexity with prolonged cellaring. Max & Me 2021 ‘Mirooloo Road’ is from grapes grown by Michael Mason on his Flaxman Valley vineyard. The site (on Mirooloo Road) is cool, with a southerly aspect. Natural yield restraint occurs due to the limited fertility and soil-depth of the quartz and mica schist with shallow underlain sandstone bedrock. Pick date: 04/03/2021. An idyllic growing season preceded Vintage 21. Winter 20...

O'Leary Walker Polish Hill Riesling 2020 [RJ 96, JH 95]

SG$42.00

O'Leary Walker Wines was established in 2000 by winemakers David O'Leary and Nick Walker. With over twenty five years experience and established reputations making premium wine with the big companies, these two long time friends decided to take control of their own destiny and craft small batches of wine from some of the best vineyard sites in South Australia. With a great leap of faith they are now doing exactly what they set out to. "The 20th vintage and what a cracker it was in Clare. This is distinctly finer and more delicate than the Watervale wine from this vintage. It really reflects this outstanding area. Has a...

O'Leary Walker Watervale Riesling 2021 [JP 96]

SG$40.00
SG$40.00

Jeni Port 96 points. A natural cool beauty, Watervale combines stunning aromatics – apple blossom, white flowers – with lingering aromas of Tahitian lime, lemon, grapefruit. Citrus and talc florals work hand in hand here. Soft, textural acidity offers a solid foundation for the brisk lemony brightness and lime cordial intensity of the fruit. And it lasts and lasts on a long, clean finish. Guess you might say I fell hard for this young riesling. A classic riesling vintage in the Clare Valley is a thing to behold. Excellent drinking now, it will be a pleasure to follow its journey. Date Tasted: October 2021; Drink: 2021 to...
