"The 2022 Cami Pesseroles is mostly Carinena (90%) with some Garnacha from head-pruned old vines planted in 1939. Since 2017, the wine has matured in a chestnut foudre, which is the way it was produced in the past by the owners of the vineyard. It has color, concentration and rusticity that speaks about a time from the past. The 2022 feels a bit hurried and in need of some more time to gain definition. It has a pH that makes the tannic and rustic sensation on the palate a little more accentuated. It needs time. All the Carinena need time, and from the slate soils, it behaves better in glass than in other materials."
