"The fruit is sourced from 2 incredible vineyards; the 1978 planted Estate Old Block and the younger but still brilliant North vineyard (Block 12, planted 1995). Small components of petit verdot and merlot in the blend. Matured for 20 months in French oak (50% new). Elegant, supple, finely textured and very long. This is seriously classy cabernet from a vintage that produced wines of singular density, muscularity and tannins."
