An average vine age of 47 years. Matured for 18 months in new French oak. In case you were wondering, GPL68 is George Patrick Lynn, who, in 1968 allowed his sons to plant vines on the family property, Majella. Love the intensity of the fruit here – it is traditional. Classically styled cabernet (dense tannins and endless flavour), with a backlog of black forest fruit that spools out long into the finish. More years in bottle will allow this to soften even further. A satisfying wine of grace and poise. Palate staining. 96 points.
