Mulline Geelong Sutherland's Creek Shiraz Viognier 2023 [JH 95]

Shiraz co-fermented with 7% viognier, which was picked and frozen two weeks earlier. The shiraz component was fully destemmed. Matured in 20% new French barriques. Fragrant with the viognier adding those exotic spice aromas that sit alongside the red and black fruits and violet notes. Opulent with silky, polished tannins, this is the most approachable of the three single-vineyard Mulline syrahs in 2023. 95 points.
