Type of vodka introduced by businessman Lars Olsson Smith, in 1879, in a small place in the south of Sweden called Åhus.

The story goes that Lars Olsson Smith inherited control of much of the production of Swedish vodka, which is why he became a great specialist in this drink. During the 19th century, Olson developed a process for distilling wheat spirits, using that method he created Absolut Rent Bränvin, a pure vodka that represents the essence of what Absolut is today.

Owned by the Pernod Ricard group, it is the third most consumed white drink brand worldwide, behind Bacardi and Smirnoff.

It is rich, full-bodied and complex, yet smooth and ripe with distinctive wheat grain character, followed by a hint of dried fruit.
