WS 94-97 WA 94-96 Drink 2019 - 2040 The 2015 Coutet... has a fragrant bouquet with acacia honey, citrus scents and a touch of melted butter, all very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive purity, those limestone soils imparting the acidity that defined this Barsac, and lending great precision and tension on the live-wire finish. This is a wonderful Coutet that feels energetic - a compressed spring coil that will drink earlier than the likes of Climens or de Fargues, but has the DNA to age gracefully over 25-30 years.NM Apr 2016. #3 Wine Spectator Top 100 for the 2014 vintage in 2017

Guide Bettane 16.5 points. Winery Notes: Powerful and Rich, Bougros is a very generous and expressive Grand Cru Vintage 2017. Tasting Note Bougros is a very expressive Grand Cru. The situation of the parcel with a great sun exposure explain this concentration. We can find ripe fruit flavors, and a long intensity. Food Pairings : This Grand Cru will be perfect with meat in “sauce”, big sea food, mountain cheese. Parcels of Grands Cru overlooks the town of Chablis. Bougros is the first Grand Cru at the north. It is facing south / south west. In 2017, 100% of the winemaking and aging was in french oak barrels, 20% of new oak. Bottling at...
Guide Bettane 17 points. Winery Notes: The nose of this Grand Cru is full and rich. There is a great balance with fruity aromas, almost exotic notes. The end is very, long and shows grilled notes and flavours of vanilla. Food Pairings : Foie Gras, Scallops, Scampi or Fowl cooked with herbs and wine. Parcels of Grands Cru overlooks the town of Chablis. Our Vaudésir is facing south that bring a very high power to the wine. Vaudésir 2017 is 100% aged in french oak barrels with 20% new oak We are looking for the right winemaking to balance this power with the high minerality coming from the very deep limestone soil. Bottling at the Domaine. #GC
A parcel selection of a south exposed hill named Vauprin : The Estate’s Signature wine. “Vauprin” is a vineyard located in the village of Lignorelles and is known for being one of the highest altitude parcels in Chablis. It comprises a total of 3 hectares with vines of 25-50 years of age. WINERY NOTES: "This special wine has one goal : the wood has to be subtle and melted. Ripe fruits and fine grilled notes are characteristic of the nose. The palate is full, intense and very long. This is a pure and powerful expression of Chablis." This estate has been in the hands of the Lavantureux family for 4 generations and covers a total of 20...

Guide Bettane 15.5 points. From 0.9 hectares of vineyards over 60 years old, this wine offers richness and complexity. 60% aged in 3 to 5 year old barrels and 40% in stainless steel. 2016 vintage was smaller due to hailstorms but the quality was excellent with rich, ripe fruit received across all appellations. Alan Meadows: "A distinctly cool and restrained nose somewhat grudgingly offers up notes of dried orchard fruit, oyster shell, citrus and a suggestion of iodine. The more tightly wound and mineral-driven flavors possess a bit more size and weight along with much better power on the sappy, concentrated and impressively intense and persistent finish. This too is really very good and worth considering." 93/100 The Grenouille or "Frog" is the flagship wine of the estate. This grand cru is hand harvested from vines older than 50 years, their roots deep in soils that are a mixture of clay and limestone. The wine is matured for 18 months in oak...
Burghound 93 points: ""A much more restrained if not entirely mute nose grudgingly offers up notes of cool citrus, green fruit, iodine and oyster shell nuances. There is excellent richness and density to the bigger-bodied flavors that possess excellent power and a slightly firm acid spine that shapes the bone dry and beautifully lingering finish where the only reproach is a touch of warmth. Excellent development potential here."" The Grenouille or "Frog" is the flagship wine of the estate. This grand cru is hand harvested from vines older than 50 years, their roots deep in soils that are a mixture of clay and limestone. The wine is matured...

Vaucoupin is a 40 ha Premier Cru vineyard site in the south of the Chablis wine region. This climat is distinguished from the surrounding countryside by very steep slopes and pockets of high-quality Kimmeridgian soil, which have justified its delimitation as a Premier Cru vineyard. The Chardonnay-based wines made here have rich, nutty flavors that are balanced with taut acidity and intense minerality.
The JJ Vincent Pouilly-Fuisse Cuvee Marie Antoinette is a tribute to Jean Jacques Vincents mother; Marie Antoinette Vincent. The wine is sourced from several parcels including young vines from the Chateau Fuisse vineyards of Le Clos, Les Brules and Le Combettes as well as several non-domaine yet family owned parcels throughout the appellation. Cuvee Marie Antoinette is created with a fresh, youthful profile in mind. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tank with only about 25% of the total blend seeing any time in oak. The resulting wine is pleasing, refreshing and crisp on the palate. Producer Chateau Fuisse has defined the...
Jancis Robinson Review 16 points: Definitely oaked but not overdone. A touch of cedar and spice but also intense clear-cut lemon fruit. Rich and rounded on the palate, the oak-influenced texture rounding out the acidity at the core. Spicy aftertaste. GV (JH) Drink 2019-2024. In old French 'bievaux' means 'beautiful valley'. Historically this land was reputed to produce excellent white wines but, after the destruction of the vineyards by the Phylloxera pest, this hillside was left abandoned. In the 1960s a number of vines were replanted and in view of the quality of the resulting wine, the entire hillside was replanted between 1970 and 1986....
Founded in 1860 by Monsieur Régnard, this house is one of Chablis' oldest and most renowned. The Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took it back in 1984 and has since re-established the style and the quality of its wines. In 1992, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette created this cuvée Grand Régnard , in a unique bottle, from the best plots of Chablis.
The "Pic Premier" is almost a Grand Cru, because the Cuvee consists of Grand Cru wines of the location Les Clos and of Premier Cru wines of the location Mont-de-Milieu. With the Pic Premier, the winemaker has resurrected the 1961 Grand Cru, a wine of unique elegance and finesse. Successful blend of noble chablis with slender, solidly structured body, of spicy suppleness, with brilliant freshness, healthy acidity and elegant finish.
