Organic. Next to the famous Clos des Mouches, in the middle of the hillside, our Aigrots are oriented to the East. This climat, with stony ground and rich in silt and clay, produces rich white wines with mineral tones (25 acres).
Burghound 91 points. Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru. Organic. la Bataillère aux Vergelesses – White – Monopole Extending over 0.67 hectares, this Chardonnay’s plot facing south/south-east is new in the domaine (The vines were planted in 2013). Its soil is composed mainly of limestone and sand. Named after a previous owner, Mr. Bataille, the vineyard lies next to the road from Beaune to Vergy (thus “Vergelesses” or, in 830, “Vergelosses”). 2019 is the third vintage of this white wine, with an expressive smell of exotic fruits, followed by a nice and fresh taste, with just enough body to be perfect. It will deliciously fit with...
Indicative blend 45% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc, 20% Bourboulenc. Wine Advocate 90 points. Imbued with scents of white flowers, white peaches, pear and white grapefruit, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a fragrant example of the appellation, a mostly tank-aged blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc. It's medium to full-bodied, but remains tense and structured throughout, ending with a citrusy flourish. JC Sep 2020.
Wine Advocate 95 points. With coaxing, the pale lemon colored 2016 Coutet slowly unfurls to give a myriad of preserved lemons, pineapple pastry, almond croissant, fresh ginger and lime blossoms scents with nuances of chalk dust, white pepper, star anise and cedar. Rich, seductive and yet exquisitely balanced, the satiny-textured palate has layer upon layer of citrus and savory notions, finishing very long and spicy. LPB Mar 2019.
Wine Advocate 92 points. The 1998 Guiraud is medium gold colored and has quite a toasty/nutty nose with praline and croissant notions over a core of peach preserves, oil skin and white truffle. Mature in the mouth, it sports appealing stone fruit and earthy layers with the richness coming through on the finish. LPB Jun 2018.
Wine Advocate 95. The 2016 Guiraud has a pale lemon color and opens with musk perfume, paraffin, cedar and spice box notes with a core of lemon tart, honey-drizzled white peaches and kumquat plus a waft of quince paste. The palate has beautiful vibrancy and loads of lively tropical and spicy layers, finishing very long. LPB Mar 2019. #SAUTERNES
"A pure and elegant nose features notes of citrus zest, mineral reduction, iodine and hints of algae. There is again a really lovely texture to the intense yet succulent medium-bodied flavors that possess both fine punch and power that exhibit excellent length on the moderately austere and notably dry finale. Good stuff." Burghound, 92/100 Nov 2020 WINERY NOTES: Grape: 100% Chardonnay. Harvest period: End of Sept, Early Oct. Age : 70 years old by Massale Selection. Exposure: East. "There is a bit more typicity present on the more floral aromas of apple confit, lemon rind and shellfish-scented nose. There is again fine volume and mid-palate density to the delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a markedly dry but not really austere finale." Burghound 91/100 Nov 2020 Oh this is lovely! The finest 1er Cru in Chablis. The vines of this 1 ha vineyard plot are over 60 years old - all hand harvested and fermented purely in tank and then aged in tank for a further 16 months. A yield of only 33hl/ha has resulted in a wine of great intensity. WINERY NOTES: Grape: 100% Chardonnay. Harvest period: End of...
"This is also quite aromatically pretty with its layered array of citrus, white orchard fruit, quinine and a whiff of tidal pool. The rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors possess a refreshing salinity while exhibiting good length if only average depth on the balanced finale." Burghound 90/100 Nov 2020 Grape: 100% Chardonnay. Harvest period: End of Sept, Early Oct. Age : 60 years old by Massale Selection. Exposure: South-East. Ground: Clay and limestone. Yield: 50 hectoliters per hectare. Manual harvesting. Cultivation: 12 months. Tasting: Elegant wine with notes of fruits and white flowers. Pretty pale golden yellow color,...
Next Vintage of Burnt Ends 2017 pour... Winery tasting note: The color is pale gold with reflections of emerald, a perfection of finesse and purity that flourishes over time, we find notes of menthol, liquorice against the backdrop of this iodized mineral very characteristic of the great Chablis wines. Drink it over the next five to ten years. "Somewhat unusually, here the nose is actually quite similar to that of the La Forêt but with slightly better layering. Otherwise there is terrific intensity to the firm, racy and overtly mineral-driven flavors that possess excellent size, weight and mid-palate density, all wrapped in a super-saline...
From the estate's 50 year old vines. A perfect balance of ripeness and minerality at an unbeatable price for the quality. A complex wine with excellent mineral structure permits it to maintain its typical dry mineral and white fruit aromas for a number of years. Pale gold color, shiny and luminous. A captivating Chablis, through a fruity vine peach, citrus fruit and tender brioche. We have worked closely with Cyril Testut for many years now. Quiet, considered and deeply passionate about his 13ha domaine, he is the proprietor of one of the real jewels of the Chablis region that sites in the top echelons of the Chablis hierarchy. His Chablis...

Grape variety Chardonnay Average age of the vines 30 years Maturation 12 months in oak barrels (1/4 new barrels) Tasting notes A rich and powerful wine which needs 2-3 years to really develop. TASTING NOTES Shining lemon yellow colour, this is a very radiant wine. With characters of clotted cream and pecans, it balances a natural fullness and richness with a lovely bite of orange zest. Extremely enticing and, true to Justin’s nature, very relaxed and full of charm. Justin's notes: "Seductive, with a bouquet of roses and lychee and a distinct spice aroma on the finish. Golden yellow in colour, spicy in aroma and flavour, reminiscent of...
Justin's Tasting Note: "From the top of village of Meursault, this wine show the freshness of cold area of Meursault. Nice acidity with lots of energy.. Great salinity at the end." Clear and brillant, mineral and floral, fresh and vigorous. Its aromatic expression features notes of smoky gunflint and hazelnuts. Justin Girardin. In old French 'bievaux' means 'beautiful valley'. Historically this land was reputed to produce excellent white wines but, after the destruction of the vineyards by the Phylloxera pest, this hillside was left abandoned. In the 1960s a number of vines were replanted and in view of the quality of the resulting wine, the entire hillside was replanted between 1970 and 1986. The slope being steep, the planting was done in terraces. Grape variety Chardonnay Average age of the vines 30 years Maturation...
Sancerre is a small wine district in central France, famous for its crisp, aromatic white wines made from Sauvignon Blanc. The classic Sancerre wine is white, bracingly acidic, and has pungent aromas of gooseberries, grass, nettles, and a hint of stony minerality. Richer, riper examples – particularly those from warmer, west-facing sites with chalky soils – often show fruitier notes of passionfruit and lemon peel. Sancerre is typically less 'obvious' than the most famous New World styles of Sauvignon Blanc. La Poussie Sancerre Blanc sees its origins dating back to the Capetian era. The vineyards dominate the Loire and produce a dry and...
WINERY NOTES: Beauroy is a south facing 1er Cru. This aspect allows it to receive more sunlight than any of our other vineyards. The wine is always rich and concentrated with ripe fruit flavors. We don't make it every year but the warm vintage presented us with great fruit from the site. In 2018 we kept more freshness and acidity in the wine. This has given a nice balance to the Beauroy and a long finish. Aged 50% in barrels and 50% stainless steel tank for 12 months.
Winery Notes: Powerful and Rich, Bougros is a very generous and expressive Grand Cru Vintage 2017. Tasting Note Bougros is a very expressive Grand Cru. The situation of the parcel with a great sun exposure explain this concentration. We can find ripe fruit flavors, and a long intensity. Food Pairings : This Grand Cru will be perfect with meat in “sauce”, big sea food, mountain cheese. Parcels of Grands Cru overlooks the town of Chablis. Bougros is the first Grand Cru at the north. It is facing south / south west. In 2017, 100% of the winemaking and aging was in french oak barrels, 20% of new oak. Bottling at the Domaine. #GC
Jancis Robinson 18/20. Sweet spices, chalk and steel on the palate with delicious umami complexity on the mid-palate. Full and lengthy, and shows that Chablis can be taken as seriously as any top burgundy. Still very young, and will go on to even greater things. (RH) Drink 2022– 2032.
Guide Bettane 17 points. Vinous 95 points(Neal Martin) Winery Notes: The nose of this Grand Cru is full and rich. There is a great balance with fruity aromas, almost exotic notes. The end is very, long and shows grilled notes and flavours of vanilla. Food Pairings : Foie Gras, Scallops, Scampi or Fowl cooked with herbs and wine. Parcels of Grands Cru overlooks the town of Chablis. Our Vaudésir is facing south that bring a very high power to the wine. Vaudésir 2017 is 100% aged in french oak barrels with 20% new oak We are looking for the right winemaking to balance this power with the high minerality coming from the very deep limestone...

Neil Martin for Vinous Media, 93 points. "....aged for 12 months in 50% oak barrels and 50% stainless steel. It has a very harmonious bouquet of yellow flowers, mirabelle, crushed rocks and light hazelnut aromas that attain impressive intensity with aeration. The palate is finely balanced with a fine bead of acidity, there is real tension and race here. The finish fans out wonderfully and its persistence deserves applause given the relatively unknown location of this vineyard.Highly recommended." Sep 2020. Wine Enthusiast 92 points. Tim Atkin 91 points. Lovely on the nose, the wine Reveals scents of ripe, almost candied, fruit. These exotic aromas continue and are coated on the palate by a rich body which carries through into a full, very long finish. WINERY NOTES: A flattering nose, reveals flavors of ripe fruits, also identifiable during Tasting because of the natural concentration of the grapes. The minerality is stronger than expected and offers a long finish. This wine will perfectly match with lobster, spiny lobsters, fishes in sauce, or also with grilled meats or cooked with cream.. Vineyards and Winemaking The 3 parcels of this “Vieilles Vignes” are located...
Founded in 1860 by Monsieur Régnard, this house is one of Chablis' oldest and most renowned. The Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took it back in 1984 and has since re-established the style and the quality of its wines. In 1992, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette created this cuvée Grand Régnard , in a unique bottle, from the best plots of Chablis. Winemaker Notes A yellow color with green highlights. A fruity bouquet both expressive and reminiscent of white fruit (peaches) supported with mineral notes. The palate is fresh and superbly balanced between fat and acidity. The finish is mineral and gourmand. The Grand Régnard is made from a selection of...
