WS 94-97 WA 94-96 Drink 2019 - 2040 The 2015 Coutet... has a fragrant bouquet with acacia honey, citrus scents and a touch of melted butter, all very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive purity, those limestone soils imparting the acidity that defined this Barsac, and lending great precision and tension on the live-wire finish. This is a wonderful Coutet that feels energetic - a compressed spring coil that will drink earlier than the likes of Climens or de Fargues, but has the DNA to age gracefully over 25-30 years.NM Apr 2016. #3 Wine Spectator Top 100 for the 2014 vintage in 2017
Wine Enthusiast 94-96 points. Blended of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc, the pale lemon-gold colored 2018 Rieussec reveals delicate scents of lemon drops, pear tart, marzipan and crushed stones over a core of orange blossoms, white peaches and lime leaves. The palate has a quiet intensity of an array of citrus and savory layers with amazing freshness, finishing with great length and depth. 93-95 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Wine Advocate (May 2019)
Burghound 93 points: ""A much more restrained if not entirely mute nose grudgingly offers up notes of cool citrus, green fruit, iodine and oyster shell nuances. There is excellent richness and density to the bigger-bodied flavors that possess excellent power and a slightly firm acid spine that shapes the bone dry and beautifully lingering finish where the only reproach is a touch of warmth. Excellent development potential here."" The Grenouille or "Frog" is the flagship wine of the estate. This grand cru is hand harvested from vines older than 50 years, their roots deep in soils that are a mixture of clay and limestone. The wine is matured...

From the estate's 50 year old vines. A perfect balance of ripeness and minerality at an unbeatable price for the quality. A complex wine with excellent mineral structure permits it to maintain its typical dry mineral and white fruit aromas for a number of years. Pale gold color, shiny and luminous. The JJ Vincent Pouilly-Fuisse Cuvee Marie Antoinette is a tribute to Jean Jacques Vincents mother; Marie Antoinette Vincent. The wine is sourced from several parcels including young vines from the Chateau Fuisse vineyards of Le Clos, Les Brules and Le Combettes as well as several non-domaine yet family owned parcels throughout the appellation. Clear and brillant, mineral and floral, fresh and vigorous. Its aromatic expression features notes of smoky gunflint and hazelnuts. Justin Girardin. In old French 'bievaux' means 'beautiful valley'. Historically this land was reputed to produce excellent white wines but, after the destruction of the vineyards by the Phylloxera pest, this hillside was left abandoned. In the 1960s a number of vines were replanted and in view of the quality of the resulting wine, the entire hillside was replanted between 1970 and 1986. The slope being steep, the planting was done in terraces. Grape variety Chardonnay Average age of the vines 30 years Maturation...
Sancerre is a small wine district in central France, famous for its crisp, aromatic white wines made from Sauvignon Blanc. The classic Sancerre wine is white, bracingly acidic, and has pungent aromas of gooseberries, grass, nettles, and a hint of stony minerality. Richer, riper examples – particularly those from warmer, west-facing sites with chalky soils – often show fruitier notes of passionfruit and lemon peel. Sancerre is typically less 'obvious' than the most famous New World styles of Sauvignon Blanc. La Poussie Sancerre Blanc sees its origins dating back to the Capetian era. The vineyards dominate the Loire and produce a dry and...
WINERY NOTES: Beauroy is a south facing 1er Cru. This aspect allows it to receive more sunlight than any of our other vineyards. The wine is always rich and concentrated with ripe fruit flavors. We don't make it every year but the warm vintage presented us with great fruit from the site. In 2018 we kept more freshness and acidity in the wine. This has given a nice balance to the Beauroy and a long finish. Aged 50% in barrels and 50% stainless steel tank for 12 months.

It has a very harmonious bouquet of yellow flowers, mirabelle, crushed rocks and light hazelnut aromas that attain impressive intensity with aeration. The palate is finely balanced with a fine bead of acidity, there is real tension and race here.
